Place Collection Supply Orders
Note: Once you place an order, you cannot make any changes to it. You must contact the laboratory to alter or cancel a collection supply order.
Note: Because LabOnline is customizable based on laboratory needs, some of the options referenced in the steps and images below may not be available or may be named differently. Direct any questions to your laboratory.
To place an order, complete the following steps:

Select Orders from the LabOnline main menu, and then choose select Collection Supplies from the sub-menu.

Click Place New Order on the top right of the page to open a new Collection Supplies record.
To place an order, you must have a mailing address in LabOnline.See: Manage My Account for information on how to add your address to LabOnline.
Note: You can still request supplies, but you must select a user with a mailing address in the "ship to" field of the collection order page.

Select a client name in the Client Name drop-down list for the order.
Your name defaults as the Ship to recipient. If necessary, choose an alternate. - Select the active client name of the person who will receive the shipment. This field defaults to the name of the current LabOnline user.
- Enter the date for when the shipment is needed in the Needed by field.

In the Items to Ship panel, highlight containers and kits items you would like to receive from the Catalog grid and use the arrows to place them in the Cart grid. To select multiple rows, select one row, press Shift or Ctrl, and select additional rows with your mouse or arrow keys. Use the Kits and Containers filter buttons to narrow results by active parts and part type for each of the two categories.
The Catalog in the Items to Ship sections defaults to the All filter view. You can scroll down to see the different part types and select what to order.You can narrow the results using the quick filter buttons or grid column filters. You can also use the Search field above the grid to search by a specific part ID or description of the kit or container and then use the Kits and Containers filters to further narrow the search to the right part. The Search is not case sensitive and includes partial matches.

Refer to Suggest Cart Entries Based on Tests to Perform for information on using the Suggest Containers wizard to populate the cart. - Confirm the information in your order is accurate and complete since you will be unable to edit it once the order is placed. Click Save.
