Search for Orders
The View Orders feature helps you manage sample orders created by you or others within your organization that have not yet been received by the laboratory. From this page, you can view order summary information and use links to edit orders that are not yet submitted. The quick filters help you search for orders based on their status.
See: View Orders for more details about the options available from this page. Refer to Samples and Patients for information about locating orders that have already been received by the laboratory.
Note: Because LabOnline is customizable based on laboratory needs, some of the options referenced in the steps and images below may not be available or may be named differently. Direct any questions to your laboratory.
To view information about current and future orders, complete the following steps:
- Select Orders from the LabOnline main menu, then select View Orders from the submenu. All of the orders to which you have access will be displayed in the grid.
- In the Search field on the right side above the grid, search by any of the criteria suggested in the light gray, ghost text of the field. All searches are executed as a partial, case-insensitive search. The search executes across all fields listed in the ghost text. Press Enter or click the Search button to execute your search.
-
To find orders with a specific status, such as only those that are scheduled for a future date, use the quick filter buttons. You can also narrow the results using the grid column filters.
See: Filter Data for information on further narrowing down your search results.
-
The orders that meet the criteria you entered appear in the grid.
